Children make friends and become campers very quickly. But seeing growth, especially in their activity skills, takes a little more time. There are just no short cuts to learning a posting trot, or a round-off back handspring. And these sorts of milestones become important markers of growth for camp-aged children. Because of this we recommend at least two weeks for first year girls.
What about one week? Most of our campers are ready for two, but we also understand that many parents are not! This is why we offer a Short Term session for girls rising 3rd grade and below. It allows families to give camp a try, building confidence to come longer the next summer.
Enrolling a Camper
The best way to get the ball rolling is to apply online. Once you have completed your application, we will contact you by phone or email.
You will receive an email confirmation letting you know we received your application. If we are able to enroll your child you will receive another email saying we have charged their deposit, followed up by an acceptance letter from camp. Tuition can be paid by check, E-check or credit card. Please note that there is a 3.3% service charge when using a credit card.
After that you will not hear much from camp until we send you your camper packet in the spring. This will be a big document and will have all the information you need to get ready for camp.
Deposits for summer camp are refundable, less $300, until January 1. There are no refunds after that date, for deposits or paid balances, so you will need to zero in on your plans before then. If you shorten a session (mover from 4 weeks to 2 weeks, etc.) you will be charged a lost deposit fee ($1,000).
Balances are due March 1, and there are no refunds for shortened sessions or full withdraws after that. If a medical doctor deems that your camper is not able to attend because of a documented physical illness then camp will share your loss with a 50% refund. We hate retaining tuitions so please call if you have questions.
