Yay! Wednesday! A little rain can’t stop some Merri Mac girls from having fun! The girls woke up, cleaned up their cabins, and headed down the hill for a fan favorite breakfast, baked oatmeal, bagels, and cinnamon apples! Today is “On Wednesdays We Wear Pink”, so a lot of the girls are decked out in their full pink head to toe. After breakfast, it was chapel time where we sang beautiful songs and listened to an encouraging message from director Adam B. First and second periods went off without a hitch and the sun was shining bright!

Kayaking worked on their paddling strokes, tennis worked on volleys and serves, and trail running ran the Tomahawk! We managed to stay rain free for the first half of the day!

In the Tucker Inn for lunch, we ate chicken caesar wraps, potato wedges, and peaches! After we ate and sang tribal songs, they announced what the evening activity for tonight is! Drum roll…. Inferno! All campers are given a small cup of water and are trying to dump their cup on another tribe’s fire. Campers can also earn “wood” for their tribe by completing difficult tasks.

After a very exciting lunch, all the girls went back to their cabins for a rest time, and shortly after ran down to get a treat at the trading post. Cooking made fruit tarts, gymnastics worked on bars, and guitar worked on lots of new songs! We had a heavy rain shower in the afternoon, but a little rain couldn’t stop our fun!

Three trips went out today! Allie B, Juliana B, Olivia C, Stella C, Sydney C, Reese D, Harper C, Sophie K, Scarlet E, Caroline L, Elizabeth L, Alexis M, Isabella S, Annabeth M, Sarah M, Elizabeth W, Ava W, and Ellie P went rafting! Merritt H, Julia K, Zadie H, Caroline O, Josie S, Sylvia B, Emily B, and Elli B went kayaking on the Lower Green! And finally, Addie B, Cam P, Caroline B, Carson R, Maggie V, Nataleigh P, and Vivi F traveled to Timberlake for a fencing competition!

Excitement is in the air for the fun evening activities rapidly approaching! Today has been another great day at camp!

With love,

Rhodes R.
