It’s a Merri Day Merri-Mac! We had a wonderful day of camp today! Today, we woke up to the amazing surprise of an extra hour of sleep and headed down for a camp favorite breakfast: baked oatmeal and coffee cake. After breakfast, we all stood on our benches and sang our breakfast songs including “Sippin Cider” and “Chante”. Then the girls rushed up to chapel lead by counselor Corrina G. with a message about who is man.

A few campers went on some pretty fun trips today! On the mountain biking trip lead by Grace E. and Lily P. was Eleanor F., Zadie H., Grace M., Reid T., Camila P., and Anna M. Also, Zach L. and Macy S. lead a backpacking trip for Elizabeth M. and Spencer C.

After chapel, the girls headed off to their activities. I enjoyed watching Paisley S. practice her roll on the lake and campers Daley C. and Gabby K. practice their swim strokes. Next, I headed up to riflery where I got to watch campers Lila Jane L. and Lindsay J. shoot their targets. Lunch today was the delicious pizza casserole completed with a side of fruit. After lunch, we sang some spirited tribal songs and Gracie Rae H. announced tonight’s evening activity which is… CABIN NIGHT! The girls will get to split off into their own cabins and the counselors will plan an activity for each cabin to do.

After all the excitement at lunch, the girls headed off the rest hour, the best (half) hour of the day. After rest hour was trading post and free time. Campers Violet C. and Parker M. enjoyed a sweet snack of airhead extremes and Gatorade. Third and fourth period brought even more excitement. I enjoyed getting to play games with one of the fencing classes at the end of third period. Fourth period, I made it to lacrosse before the rain in time to see campers Alina J. and Lucy G. practice their skills! Right now we are getting ready to enjoy dinner and the rest of the night!
