We had a restful Sunday here at camp! Everyone was excited to sleep in an extra hour and enjoy delicious cinnamon rolls and bagels for breakfast! Sunnysiders led the camp in special Sunday songs such as “Father I Adore You”. In chapel, we sang a camp favorite “The Banana Song” followed by “Light the Fire” and watched an excellent skit performed by girls in Comet that taught us to always be grateful to God. After chapel, upper camp girls enjoyed the slip and slide and free swim which included jumping off the blob and going down the slide! Meanwhile, lower camp played four square on Pippin Hill and played an exciting game of kickball. Some cabins even got to go to the Boyd’s house for a pool party!
After a classic Sunday lunch of fried chicken, girls had a much needed hour long rest hour. This afternoon, the girls enjoyed an afternoon full of free time and relaxation before an intense tribal trash pickup. Several girls from Red Fox went on a hiking trip today and joined us back at camp just in time for dinner. The girls were happy receive pizza delivered by Old Blue to their cabins to enjoy a picnic! Following dinner, we laughed at funny skits and sang some fun songs at vespers before hearing a story and lesson from Adam about how to love God. This evening, lower camp is watching a movie in Tucker Inn, while Sunnysiders enjoy their “prom” at the Mike, and the other girls are spending more quality time with their cabins. We are so excited and grateful for our last week of camp ahead!
