It was an exciting first day finally back at camp! The campers woke up to the smell of delicious waffle sticks and sausage! The wait was finally over as campers enjoyed a full day of classes and activities. DIY crafts made wall hanging macramé from yarn and a carefully selected stick in the horseback riding barn. Yarn in the barn! Lacrosse played a competitive game called “Bacon.” Guitar class learned the song “Wagon wheel.” On the lake, swimming, diving, kayaking, and canoeing had a fun filled day! The tribal competitions began after lunch with the search for the hatchet. Katie K. found the hatchet for the Seminole tribe! After diner, the Golden Eagle and Black Bear communities headed to the Mike for battleball while Red Fox and Blue Heron played sock war. The results from the competitions will not be announced until tomorrow at lunch (but fingers crossed for Seminoles!) We feel blessed for a great day here at Merri-Mac and can’t wait for more to come!
