Tradition and community are two of the first things that come to mind when I think of camp. These are also the first things I find myself looking for during the holidays. The holiday season brings about traditions, a spirit of festiveness and for some, a community that they have been longing to see again. From the smells around the house to the sounds of family re-connecting, this time of the year seems to be magical. We wouldn’t be able to create the magic of camp each summer without a few key players and we want to give special thanks to our camp community this holiday season.

To our campers, we wanted to take a moment to reflect back on the year and be thankful for you all. You help make camp, camp! We love the energy you bring to each tribe, activity and cabin. We can’t wait to see you on Opening Day 2020!

To our camp families, we are grateful to be a part of your lives. Thank you for letting us in! You help us share the magic of camp in your homes and invite others to join. We learn so much from you all each year. You support us in so many ways and we thank you.

To our staff, thank you. We see your hard work all summer long. Thank you for the endless hugs, smiles and the lost voices in the dining hall. Thank you for mentoring our campers, showing them respect and love and helping them grow. We appreciate that you set great examples not only during the summer, but all year long. We are thankful, we will be seeing many of you next summer!

To our alumni, thank you for continuing to support camp. We love those that reach out to us when they are in the area! Your memories and stories of camp keep us going. We find so much joy in seeing your children and grand-children enroll in camp. Thank you for being a part of our community and sharing your love of camp all around.

We hope this season is filled with your favorite traditions and the communities that you hold dear.

Happy Camping,

Andrea

PS. I’m always looking for a new tradition; if you are willing to share, I’d love to hear it!
