It is the first official day of 3B at Camp Merri- Mac and we started off strong as the girls woke up at seven and were served the very best meal at camp, CINNAMON ROLLS! Once breakfast was over the girls headed over to Chapel where they sang a mashup of Pharaoh Pharaoh and Every Move I Make, they also sang Star of the Morning and How Great Thou Art! After singing Adam spoke on who is God and how even when we fall short, God will always be there to welcome us with open arms. When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, we no longer had to carry the burden of our sins anymore, Jesus takes them.

After Chapel two trips were sent out! Vivian F., Spencer C., Annabeth M. all went climbing, while the Up Yonder and Crosspatch girls went on a day hike as a cabin trip.

We had a lot of fun in cooking where the girls baked brownies and ate them too! In basketball, they learned how to correctly perform a layup and a jump shot, if you were to head over to gymnastics you would have seen the girls doing round-offs and backbends! Kayaking was all about getting in and out of the kayak, while swimming was all about freestyle and backstroke.

Even though it started to rain after lunch, the girls still had smiles on their faces as they headed to Trading Post for some Sour Patch Kids and a Lipton Tea! During free time girls love to play tetherball, hang out with camp friends on the benches and get some relaxing time at the tweedles spa.

Let’s not forget the most exciting part of the day, EVENING ACTIVITY! During The Great Escape, all three tribes run around camp doing different tasks to earn clues about where their flag is, the first tribe to find their flag wins the game!
