Merri-Mac friends and family, today is another fantastic, fun filled, beautiful day here at camp. This morning girls woke up, did their chores and hurried down to breakfast where pancakes, sausage, grits and bagels were all ready to go! At Chapel girls sang fun familiar songs and praised the Lord with friends then listened to a short message from our director, Adam.

Onto activities of course! Today is the last day for activities for monday, wednesday and friday classes. Session 2 is finishing up and campers are showing off all of their skills in their activities! This morning volleyball consisted of playing fun familiar games like “jail” and “queen of the court” and new games too! In tennis girls played games to perfect their skills learned over the session, in DIY girls finished up their North Carolina painting projects and they were all so beautiful! Last but not least in pottery the girls glazed their pieces, how exciting!

After a morning of activities girls were happy to see cheese quesadillas, rice and chips with guacamole and salsa for lunch! The girls rushed to their tables, prayer was said and we all enjoyed the yummy meal. After lunch Molly C. announced the winner of last nights evening activity, El presidente……Iroquois and the mighty Seminoles with the spirit points! Tonight’s activity is Gold Rush, which is sure to be a blast!

Free time and Trade-po are next! Todays free time was jam packed with fun options! Mountain Biking staff lead a staff and camper free bike ride on the trails. Kayaking staff having an awesome clinic with campers working on their rolls! (Shoutout to all the kayaking girls for mastering and improving your rolls!) Also, a talent show in the Chapel! Girls danced and sang and had an amazing time laughing with friends.

More fun with afternoon activities! Cooking today is baking snickerdoodles, double chocolate chip cookies, old fashioned chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin! Wow, those were really good! At yoga up on Pippin Hill the girls did partner poses and learned about the importance of friendship. These are some favorite classes here at camp with beautiful views and yummy food.

We all look forward to a great dinner, fun filled evening activity, and other varied activities! We are all so thankful for every amazing day we have at camp with our beautiful campers. Can’t wait for another great day tomorrow!
