Today here at camp was a busy day filled with hugs, laughter, and goodbyes. Reveille went off this morning and campers ran down the hill to a delicious breakfast of pancakes! Our Sunnysider’s lead us with some exciting songs before we journeyed out to Friendship circle. Every few weeks, Friendship circle is a time where Merri-Mac girls gather together surrounded by friends, to sing songs that allow us to reflect on all of the many new and old friendships we now garner. As the girls joined hands together and sang “Shades of Evening”, “All My Life’s A Circle”, and “From This Haven”, we remembered the incredible two weeks that we shared together at camp along with the many new friendships through growth and adventure that we made. After, there were many hugs as we said goodbye to our 3A campers. We are so excited and cannot wait to have them all back here next summer!

The lunch bell rang, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch of BLTs and fruit. After lunch, we had rest hour for some much-needed rest. Then campers raced down to Trading Post for a tasty snack. Later in the afternoon, free swim was a blast which included lots of paddle boarding and blobbing.

Tonight, we enjoyed an incredible dinner of pork with Oreo dream as our dessert. All of us here at Merri-Mac are overjoyed to be welcoming new campers here tomorrow. It has been a true blessing to have had a beautiful last two weeks, and we are looking forward to our final two weeks of camp filled with worship, singing, laughter, and many happy smiling faces!
