Reveille rang, the sun came out, and here began another exciting day at camp. Campers rushed down the hill to a fan favorite breakfast-french toast sticks! The Sunnysiders lead morning songs, and the whole camp sang the birthday rap to Madge M. Happy Birthday, Madge! Then, everyone went to chapel to sing songs of praise and listen to a message from Abigail S. about how Jesus will always be enough for us.

Today’s sunny forecast made ideal weather for our first time going to Monday/Wednesday/Friday classes! Each instructor taught their girls the basics for the activity, along with safety rules and camper introductions. Cooking made chocolate chip pancakes, riding classes took a morning trail ride, canoeing and kayaking took their boats out on the water for the first time, and climbing scaled the walls of the upper tower like true mountain women.

At lunch we had one of the best camp lunches- TACO IN A BAG! Each girl piled on her choice of toppings and feasted on her very own walking taco. After rest time, the girls raced down the hill to be the first in line at Trading Post and get their afternoon snack. During free time was Junior Camp free swim- all Tweedles and Sundrop enjoyed a lovely afternoon on the waterfront.

Last night’s evening activity was The Great Escape! Campers were split into groups of 7 and ran around camp looking for secret clues to solve the puzzle and find the hidden flag. The mighty Iroquois were the first to find the flag and ring the bell- another victory for the ‘qious! Choctaw brought home the spirit points, though- way to rep your tribe, Choctaw! Tonight’s evening activity is Mission Impossible; stay tuned for which tribe comes out on top!

We look forward to a fun filled night spent with great company and making many more happy memories. Thank you for sharing your daughters with us this summer, each moment is an opportunity for great growth- we cherish every second.
