After a great night’s sleep from the exciting Christmas celebrations, the campers woke up to some yummy chicken biscuits!! Following breakfast, all the campers went to chapel and sang a camp favorite called “Pharaoh Pharaoh” accompanied by some awesome dance moves. There’s nothing better than praising Jesus with your best friends in the mountains!

This morning campers were busy working hard in their activities! In knitting class, the campers learned how to cast off and do the final stitches on their projects so they would be ready to take home! On this beautiful morning, the PAWS class was taking the puppies for a walk around camp. Along with the puppies, the horseback riders were riding around camp. After a fun-filled morning campers had grilled ham and cheese for lunch and rested up for an exciting afternoon.

The Trading Post bell rang and the campers rushed down the hill to get a snack! Around the trading post area the campers were socializing and enjoying their yummy treats together. The afternoon was filled with more merry activites. In cooking, the girls were making biscuits from scratch and spreading strawberry butter on them. Music from Hamilton was being learned by the girls in guitar. All of the Ballerinas in dance class were perfecting their pique turns, while the gymnasts were practicing their toe touches on the trampoline.

After such an exciting day, the campers were refueled with alfredo, broccoli, and bread sticks. Tonight is “Cabin Night” and each cabin has awesome activities planned! Sunnyside campers got dressed up to go to a nice dinner in Black Mountain and a surprise activity afterwards. The rest of the cabins will enjoy bonding and doing fun activities around camp! Some cabins may have a bonfire while some may have a dance party. Merri-Mac is in for a fun night!!

Have a great evening,
