After a good night’s sleep, Merri-Mac awoke to an exciting day ahead! After finishing their chores, girls ran down to the Tucker Inn for a favorite meal— geometry breakfast! Campers feasted on their biscuit sandwiches featuring circular eggs, sausage patties, and hash browns. After breakfast, girls headed to chapel where Adam reminded us all of our need for Jesus.

It was a busy day for the trip staff, with many girls heading out on exciting excursions!

Audrey P.Finley M.Victoria S., Natalie C., and Haley F. went mountain biking in Dupont. Mountain biking instructor Emily K. said that despite some light rain showers, the girls all did a great job and had a lot of fun. Kayakers Drew H., Grace C.Elizabeth C., Bella H., Merrill H., and Elizabeth H. went to the Lower Green today.

An overnight backpacking trip to Sam’s Knob left this afternoon with Susannah B., Emma Lee F.Emily S.Juliette B.Lily T.Madison K.Payge Z.Lauren B., and Emily S. all excited to camp out and hike up to a beautiful lookout. Elli B., Bella Rose G.Frances M., Marjorie M., and Grace S. went waterskiing at Lake James today. Elli B. couldn’t wait to tell her counselors about the trip, saying that waterskiing was “so much fun!”

At camp, girls were having just as much fun in their activities. Many girls were working on achieving bars in their classes. Campers in Dance were working on their ballet positions, and girls were challenging themselves in Diving to learn some new moves! Nellie R., Mary F., and Ansleigh S. were perfecting songs to work towards their bronze bars in Guitar. They sounded beautiful!

Kate A. got her bronze in EWS and Lucy D. got her gold in Fitness!

For lunch, girls enjoyed pizza and watermelon in the Tucker Inn before rest time and trading post! In the afternoon, girls continued on with their activities. In Pottery, one week campers glazed their pieces while others learned how to throw on the wheel and created coil pots. In DIY, girls decorated notebooks and made friendship bracelets. Girls really enjoyed their time in Yoga, where they practiced relaxing poses and made letters with their poses to form words. A quick thunderstorm at the end of third period led to beautiful blue skies during fourth period. Girls enjoyed the beautiful weather kayaking, canoeing, and swimming in Lake Doris.

Dressed in tribe jerseys and paint, campers came down to dinner. They fueled up on Mexican casserole in preparation for their tasks during the Apache Race. After an Iroquois win during Tribal Minute-To-Win it last night, everyone is excited to see who will be the winner of tonight’s evening activity!
