Today at Merri-Mac, as the morning classes started so did the drizzling rain. The rain offered a cool morning in comparison to the heat of the afternoon that came around.  The campers ran off to morning activities fueled by a breakfast of sausage patties, eggs, hash browns and biscuits.  The day started off with the singing of Happy Birthday to Olivia J. and Hadley A..

After breakfast the campers ran off to Chapel with Adam as the speaker. Then it was off to their morning activities. The campers were busy working on bars as the session comes to an end. Then it was off to the lunch meal of taco in the bag, a camp favorite. The campers then headed off to their daily rest hour and trading post! Finally it was off to the afternoon activities!

The daily activities brought the earning of different bars. A few even earned their gold bars. Eiley M. earned her gold in riflery, which she then was able to rename a gun! Mairin M., Sarah B., and Karly K. earned their gold bar in volleyball. Mary Elizabeth B. was able to strum her way to her gold in guitar today. Last but not least Carsyn K. earned her hard earned gold in fencing. Congratulations to these campers on earning their gold bars! As well as Lucie F. earning marks for keeping a one-match fire going for thirty minutes.

During trading post time brought about some fun activities the campers could participate in. Sarah B. hosted a sand volleyball tournament, and Meghan D. and Jillian G. held a tournament in tennis. But what drew the most attention was the production of “Where is My Hair Brush?” put on by the campers in Tweedle Dumb. The campers of Tweedle Dumb did a fantastic job in their productions and had to have two showings in order to let all the fans see their play.

Now it is off to a dinner of cheese ravioli and to play a fun game of Sock War for evening activity!
