Today was a beautiful, bright and sunny day here at Merri-Mac! Yesterday was the last day for  2-week girls to earn bars for Whitefeather, so the pace has slowed down a bit. The lake opened free swim for girls in water activities, and that means that the blob, diving boards and all kinds of boats were in use. The girls loved a chance to cool off and splash around in Lake Doris.

Other activities slowed as well. Up at the climbing wall, campers pushed themselves to try new climbs just for fun. In guitar, the girls practices chords and worked on new songs while enjoying the shade in Little Dipper porch. Dancers worked on the ending moves to the Footloose theme song and drama was filled with laughter as they reenacted their favorite shows with a twist of their own. The puppies were adorable as always as they enjoyed (and destroyed) the dog toys that DIY crafts made for them. A few trips went out today such as water skiing and the first ever girls mountain biking trip! Things are never boring here at camp.
Evening activity tonight was the long anticipated Princess Party for Anne Dylan! All the campers dressed up in their best to arrive in style to the gym. The theme for the show was The Wizard of Oz, with a camp twist of course. The Mike was packed with campers and with the creative costumes and the cast of CITs, staff and cabin princesses, it was a fantastic show. The celebration continued with cake and lemonade on the lawn as another successful Princess Party came to a close.
