IMAGE CAPTION – Back to good ole Merri-Mac!

Good Morning All You Merri-Mac Girls!

There’s a lot afoot atop Black Mountain, and a lot happening with our campers too.

From the Mail Bag:

Katy R. wrote to say, “I miss camp so much! This past summer was amazing and I can’t wait for Dreams End this year! While looking through my camp pictures a few weeks ago I thought of something that would make the memories of camp stay alive and stay strong throughout the year, the songs. Pictures are a great way of remembering but when I think of Merri-Mac I think of tribal and dining room singing, and I would love to be able to have those songs all year long! I had the idea to create a CD with all of our favorite camp songs on it so we can listen to it throughout the school year as we countdown the days till Merri-Mac. All of our favorite breakfast songs could be on it, the friendship circle songs, chapel songs and of course, the tribal songs! I thought this would be a great way to keep our memories of each summer alive! I can’t wait to see all of you again and I am so excited for this summer!” The CD is a great idea Katy! Anna Laura N. sends her regards as well: “Hi everyone! I’m very exited because summer is getting closer. Since I’m going to an Irish Dance contest to Austin, TX in May, I WILL BE CLOSER TO CAMP!” When TX is closer, you are a long way from camp! Lee B., the classic Merri-Mac girl, writes, “I can’t wait for this summer! I have been drawing the Seminole logo all over my books and binders and my friends say, “Oh, I didn’t know you were a Florida fan?” It’s really great! I miss you all like CRAZY!! I look forward to camp everyday and every night! You girlies have no idea how much you mean to me, it’s like a whole other world is waiting for us this summer.” Becca S. adds: “It’s been a lovely few days down here in Atlanta. I’ve been very busy the last few weeks though. I have a new play coming up in May and life guard training in two weeks. And of course camp in 70 something odd days, for which I’m desperately excited and can not wait to see all of you. It is going to be an amazing summer. Finally, Anne G. wrote in to say, “Today I had a lacrosse game (we won 7-2) and guess who was my defender? Ally from Dreams Begin! We were so surprised to see each other because neither of us had any idea what school the other went to. She’s going to be a two week Sunnysider next year and it’s going to be great. I love seeing camp friends and I can’t wait to see the rest of you!”

Merri-Mac girls are everywhere, and soon we’ll all be at camp…just where we belong.

Well you won’t have to wait long.

Great Camping!

Adam and Ann
