Spencer & DotAt the age of six Spencer went to camp for the first time. Upon his return home he announced to his dad that he was going to be a camp director when he grew up. In 1954, between his Junior and Senior years at the University of Georgia, he made good his promise, and started his first camp with only 20 campers. In 1962, shortly after his return from the Air Force, Spencer met and married Dorothy Coe. Parents of six sons themselves, Spencer and Dot have spent a lifetime together providing summers of fun and growth for camp age youngsters. Adam & AnnWhile at Wofford College, Adam called Spencer during one of his recruiting trips saying "Dad, I know of a girl who would make a really great counselor for Merri-Mac". After several years, during which he received his under-graduate degree, Adam made sure that we would not lose this valuable counselor. Subsequently, Adam received Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Seminary and served for seven years as director of Timberlake and associate director for Merri-Mac. Ann, a Converse College graduate and now the mother of three is a full time mom, helping at camp on special days. Bobby & BarbaraLike all of the Boyd sons, Bobby grew up in the camping business, probably being able to rig a camp tarp before he could turn the knob on a television set. Bobby, who went to West Georgia College, oversees the maintenance department for both camps and travels to camp promotional visits during the winter. His wife, Barbara, is a graduate of Mars Hill College and directs our off-season rental program. Clark Mackey Clark grew up in Jackson, Mississippi before moving to the mountains
in March of 2000 to become Timberlake's Director. Dan and Annie Singletary
