IMAGE CAPTION - Those hazy, crazy days of summer!

Dear Merri-Mac Girls,

I know it feels like winter but in just three months our first counselors will roll into camp to begin Training Week! With that in mind we're ramping up our new construction projects and putting the finishing touches on our clothing orders. New hoodies and new colors for crocs are just a couple of the things you can look forward to.

Many of you recently got an email with the contact information from everyone in your cabin last summer. If you did not get one, it's because we do not know your address, so be sure to click on the "tell us" tab below and give us your email address so we can keep you posted in the future. Don't forget to include your name and a note letting us know what you are up to.

From the Campers:

Sam L. wrote in telling us her address and saying hello to everyone. Also, Cameron L. says, "I love Merri-Mac more than milk and cookies....and I LOVE milk and cookies. I miss it right now, but I know that it is almost here. Can't wait to see everyone!"

From The Staff:

Becca S. wrote to say, " I ate lunch in Black Mountain on Saturday and then drove through camp in the snow! It was very beautiful and I'm very excited for the coming summer! Other than that, it's been a lot of work preparing for exams. Only 60 something days left of school! Score!" Melissa L. is teaching 6th grade Language Arts and loving it. She is also headed to NC soon to present her thesis at UNC. Good luck Melissa! Finally Allison M. wrote saying, "I saw some pictures of Merri-Mac covered in snow and it's so pretty. It made me really miss camp...It was the most amazing 3 months of my life and I think about it every day... Merri-Mac is buried in my heart and it keeps calling me back."

See You at Camp!

IMAGE CAPTION - Lots of LOVE from Merri-Mac!

Dear Merri-Mac Girls,

Camp is cold these days, which means that it is nice to head south and meet with some of our camp families. It also means that we've finally gotten some snow! With this in mind Stephen is planning our last Florida trip now so give us a call if you would like him to come to your home! In February we usually attend a few camp fairs and most recently we got to see Olivia V. in Atlanta (her little sister wants to join her at Merri-Mac), and Stephen got to see Kristy P. in Cary.

A lot of you have emailed to thank us for sending the contact information for your cabin mates from last summer. We thought that would be a good way to help you stay connected. If you did not get an email from us it is because we do not have your email address. We'd love to have it for future mailings and you can send it by clicking on the "tell us" link just below this article. Be sure to include your name and a note about what you are up to.

From the Campers:

Virginia Beth A. wrote in saying, "Hey Everybody!!! What's up?! Happy Valentines Day!"

From the Staff:

The staff is filling very quickly. The CIT spots have been full for a long time and now the JC's are full as well. Our most recent old girl to be hired is Lauren D. Lauren had to miss last year but she's excited to be joining the climbing staff this summer. Emily M. also called to say she is looking forward to her upcoming trip to Australia and will visit camp as soon as she returns. As you can see from the pictures, Adam and Dan have taken up a new instrument and hope to surprise you with a few "tunes" this summer!

Great Camping!

IMAGE CAPTION - Lots of smiles at Merri-Mac!

Dear Merri-Mac Girls,

We've taken camp on the road! I just returned from Charlotte and Ann and I will be heading to Atlanta this weekend for a camp fair in Buford. Dan was recently in Cincinnati, and then to Asbury to meet new counselors, and Stephen will be in Raleigh on Sunday. After two weeks in Florida Jen is spending a little time closer to home, but one of the exciting things she will be doing is ordering this summer's clothing.

Javascript is required to view this email address.

if you have any suggestions for new things to offer.

From the Campers:

Savannah B. writes, "Weel wutup y'all guess what? I'm really into gymnastics this year. I'm on a team. I got third all around in my first meet out of 60 people!" Congratulations Savannah! Alexandra C. says, "I am sooooo excited for camp! I know I still have like 5 months to go but I'm still excited! To tell the truth I have already bought some new stuff for camp!" Anna S. reports, "I can't wait for camp! IROQUOIS IS GOING TO WIN THE BANNER! I just tried out for Jr. High Region Choir. I didn't make it but I was about 2 away out of about 200 people. But it was very fun because I got to spend a whole day with my friends. I'm also going to Disney World in April with my choir! I can't wait. I haven't been on an airplane since I was one yr. old! I'm very excited. I can't wait to see everyone at camp! I miss ya'll!"

From the Staff:

We have word that there will be a Merri-Mac staff party at UGA this weekend and our latest hire is Georganne, who taught Anne A. to ride! Sara Katherine wrote in to say, "Things in NYC are going great, I'm on the Upper School Dance Company, and our performance is this week. It's going to be a hit! I'm doing a panel for this thing called Teen Scene run by Parents-In-Action. I'm taking the SATs on April 1st and exams are two weeks before that, so school is really hectic. My mom and I have been talking a lot about camp, and since I'm only going to be a CIT second session, I'm going to come down a couple of days early to see my first session girls and closing ceremonies! Hope everyone is just as excited about camp as I am! Love you all!"

See you at camp!

On the road with Merri-Mac!

IMAGE CAPTION - Merri-Mac comes to your town!

Dear Merri-Mac Girls,

Jen has been doing a lot of traveling and got to meet with a lot of our campers while she was in Florida. We have a few more trips to do so let us know if you would like us to come by your home. Of course, you already know that hosting a meeting is the only way to get a reverse color tribe jersey!

We want you to keep in touch, so a lot of you just got an email with the contact information from everyone in your cabin. There were also instructions on how to view the full camp directory on line. If you did not get an email it is probably because we do not have your email address. If you would like, you can let us know what it is by clicking on the "what's new?" option at the bottom of this email. We'd also like to hear what you are up to.

Virginia Beth did just that, saying, "I cannot wait until this summer for camp. The water slide will be soooo cool, I know that for a fact. I know I will probably be doing the same activities, but I might do guitar instead of archery because I got a guitar for Christmas! I can't believe that Iroquois won the banner again!! Not fair. Maybe I can stay the same time I did last year, except for 4 weeks! Please let Brittany (The princess from when I was at camp) be the counselor of whatever cabin I'm in! She is so nice!!!? We agree.

See you at camp!

Adam
